Local Paint Your Own Pottery Studio offers projects that meet education
curriculum requirements
developed by KS Kids, a nationally recognized education curriculum
developed by KS Kids, a nationally recognized education curriculum
consultant group. Using their motto “Putting the Art back into Learning”,
KS Kids have developed curriculums specifically for paint your own
pottery studios.

“We are always excited when homeschool groups come to our studio.
Now we can provide valuable art education to homeschool groups that
might otherwise struggle to meet these specific curriculum

Own Pottery.
You Made It! llc Paint Your Own Pottery regularly schedules studio days
for homeschool groups, from preschool on up. All group education
projects are $15 per child. After the project is completed, You Made It!
llc Paint Your Own Pottery glazes and fires it, returning back a washable
and food safe piece in one week.
A study by the Craft and Hobby Association which surveyed 76 teachers
and over 1,500 students across America showed some key findings
which included:
• Students who spend a greater proportion of their learning time
engaged in hands-on projects scored significantly higher on writing and
drawing knowledge application tasks.
• The creativity and level of detail students demonstrated on the
tasks also indicated that the hands-on projects left many students with
vivid and lasting understanding of both facts and concepts.
• Student behavior and socialization skills improve when hands-on
craft projects are undertaken
• 82% of teachers surveys said that handcrafted projects help their
students apply information in new or different situations
